Frequently asked questions

Which goods are under EU sanctions toward Belarus?

Goods covered by Council Regulation (EU) No 765/2006 are listed in its annexes by CN code. They include both export bans to Belarus and import bans from Belarus. To determine the status of a specific product, identify its CN code and check it in the search tool.

What is Regulation 765/2006?

It is an EU legal act establishing restrictive measures toward Belarus. The binding source is its current consolidated version published on EUR-Lex. On this page the source version date is 2026-04-24.

Can the same product have a different status toward Russia?

Yes. The regimes are separate. The same CN code may be banned under one regime and not the other, because Regulations 833/2014 and 765/2006 have their own annexes. Check both regimes separately.

Why do some items have no assigned annex?

Our 765/2006 list is consolidated by CN code, while the precise mapping of items to individual annexes is being verified. A missing annex does not change the fact that the code is restricted. Always confirm details in the act text on EUR-Lex.
