UN 2913: RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, SURFACE CONTAMINATED OBJECTS (SCO-I)
UN 2913 (RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, SURFACE CONTAMINATED OBJECTS (SCO-I)) belongs to ADR class 7 (Radioactive material). Hazard identification number: 70. Tunnel restriction code: E.
Entry 1
Names of this entry
- RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, SURFACE CONTAMINATED OBJECTS (SCO-I) non fissile or fissile-excepted
- RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, SURFACE CONTAMINATED OBJECTS (SCO-III) non fissile or fissile-excepted
Entry 2
RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, SURFACE CONTAMINATED OBJECTS (SCO-II) non fissile or fissile-excepted
What the table fields mean
- Hazard identification number (Kemler)
- The first digit is the main hazard (2 gas, 3 flammable liquid, 4 flammable solid, 5 oxidising, 6 toxic, 8 corrosive, 9 miscellaneous), the next digits are additional hazards, a repeated digit (e.g. 33) means an intensified hazard, an X before the number means a dangerous reaction with water.
- Transport category
- The transport category (0 to 4) sets the multiplier: according to ADR Check, category 1: multiplier 50, category 2: multiplier 3, category 3: multiplier 1, category 4: multiplier 0 (no limit), and category 0 means the exemption does not apply. Points are the net quantity (kg or L) times the multiplier.
- Multiplier for the 1000-point limit
- Points are the net quantity (kg or L) times the multiplier; a load total not exceeding 1000 points falls within the ADR 1.1.3.6 exemption.
- Limited quantity (LQ)
- The largest quantity per inner packaging for which carriage can use the limited-quantity rules.
- Excepted quantity (EQ)
- A code indicating the limits for excepted quantities; its content is given in the text of ADR.
- Packing instructions
- Packing instruction codes (e.g. P, IBC, R) indicate which packagings are permitted.
- Special packing provisions
- Codes (e.g. PP, BB) add requirements to the packing instruction.
- Mixed packing
- Codes (MP) say how this substance may be packed together with others in one outer packaging.
- Carriage, loading and unloading
- The codes indicate provisions on carriage, loading and unloading.
- Operation of the vehicle
- Codes (e.g. S2, S20) indicate additional operating provisions for carriage.
The content of the packing codes and the carriage provisions is in ADR, chapters 4.1 and 7.
