SENT · Polish goods transport monitoring system
Does this shipment need a SENT notification?
Check the shipment before the truck leaves. You will see whether it must be notified, who files it, what to prepare and what an error can cost. Every answer has its legal basis.
Don’t have all the data? The CN code is enough.
Transport of dangerous goods and SENT
SENT is the Polish system for monitoring the road transport of goods (Act on the system for monitoring road and rail transport of goods and trade in heating fuels), and RMPD is the register to which a foreign carrier reports certain transports in Poland (Article 28b of the Road Transport Act). SENT and ADR are separate obligations: SENT concerns the notification of the transport of goods from the catalogue (threshold, direction, procedure), ADR concerns the transport of dangerous goods. A SENT notification does not replace the ADR requirements, and the other way round.
Goods that can also be dangerous (ADR)
Questions about SENT
How does this check differ from a SENT code search?
The CN code is only the first step. The obligation also depends on the mass or volume of the consignment, the direction of carriage, the type of transaction, the customs procedure, the excise document, the packaging and the origin of the goods. The tool asks for these details and shows which provision decided the result.
Who sends the SENT notification?
For carriage starting in Poland the consignor (form SENT100), for carriage into Poland the consignee (SENT200), for carriage through Poland between two other countries the carrier (SENT300). The carrier completes the notification and provides SENT-GEO (geolocation of the carriage), the driver must have the reference number.
Can I check a past carriage?
Yes. Enter the date the carriage started and we calculate the result under the rules of that day. If the rules changed during the carriage, the transitional provision of the amending act decides, if it has one. If it does not, and the result changes, the tool marks the carriage as requiring verification.
Is the result binding?
No. It is information with its legal basis, not legal advice. Where the rules do not settle something, we say so and suggest verification with an expert.
